The Body Shop Honeymania Review

Recently The Body Shop just came out with a new collection called Honeymania which contains tons of skin loving ingredients. They came out with a soap, lip butter, shower gel, body butter, bath melt, body scrub and a fragrance so there is something for everyone from this line. Here is what The Body Shop has to say about the new Honeymania line of products:
The range contains Community Fair trade honey collected from handcrafted hives in the Ethiopian rainforest. Spritz on, dip in and lather up for skin that feels deliciously soft. -The Body Shop
I have four products from the Honeymania line- the bath melt, soap, lip balm, and fragrance and will be talking a bit about each one below!
The Body Shop Honeymania Bubbling Bath Melt ($12 CAD)
The Honey Mania Bubble Bath Melt is certainly luxurious and invigorating and is my favourite product from this line that I have tried. Run yourself a hot bath, pour this bath melt in and watch it bubble away. It smells absolutely delicious and feels really nice and silky on the skin. While you’re in the bath the bath melt works away at hydrating your skin while the scent soothes and calms. I really love using this on days when I just want to pamper myself and I feel as if it’s the answer to everything. Stressful day at work? Bath melt. Had a great day and want to celebrate with a little “me time”? Bath melt. It’s amazing. The tub is really large for the price, 300 ml for only $12 CAD and it will last you a long time as a little bit goes a long way. Pretty good deal if you ask me! I would definitely pick up a few of these before they are gone as the Honeymania line is limited edition!
The Body Shop Honeymania Eau De Toilette ($14 CAD)
After smelling the deliciousness that is the Honeymania line I couldn’t wait to see how the fragrance would smell. This perfume comes in a glass bottle with a gold top and has a cute honey comb on the front. Now while this may not the classiest of packaging it does the job well. Being as this perfume is an eau de toilette I wasn’t expecting it to be very long lasting. Surprisingly enough this is probably one of the longest wearing fragrances that I own. When I gave this a spray on myself for the first time I noticed that instead of smelling like straight up honey, as you would expect, this perfume has a very nice floral scent. I love that it’s not sickeningly sweet as I really dislike scents like that so this would definitely be a fragrance to pick up if you’re looking for something that will linger for hours and is very fresh and pleasant. I enjoy using this on a daily basis and I always get compliments when I wear it.
The Body Shop Honeymania Lip Butter ($6 CAD)
Now I have extremely dehydrated lips pretty much all the time and to this day I have not yet found a lip balm that will cure my lips and make them super soft and smooth. I exfoliate often with my lip scrubs from Lush, apply lip balm and drink an obscene amount of water every day but yet they are still dry. So unfortunately for me I always go in with the feeling that lip balms will never really truly fix the problem. This lip balm has a wonderful smell to it and feels really smooth when applied. I am more of a lip balm stick kind of person because I feel that tubs are less hygienic. This lip balm did make my lips feel smooth but I don’t feel like it really penetrated my lips enough. However I’m sure if you had pretty normal lips that aren’t prone to being overly dry, this will work amazingly for you!
The Body Shop Honeymania Soap ($4 CAD)
The soap has a honey comb pattern stamped into it along with a super adorable bee in the centre. I definitely have to give The Body Shop points for their cute and sturdy packaging! The soap has the same fresh floral scent as the rest of the products in the line which I love, and lathers up really nicely and makes your skin feel really nice and smooth. However, as I have a dryer skin type that luxury is short lived as soon as I step out of the shower but that is what their Honeymania body butter is for! I will definitely be picking that up at the mall the next time I go!
So those are my thoughts on the products I received from the Honeymania line! You’ll be sure to see these products coming up in an empties post in the near future I’m sure as I love them so much! I get really excited every time I go to use them and that doesn’t happen often enough with products it seems. I try so many new things that I don’t really get pumped up about anything, so this was a pleasant change. Definitely get your hands on some of these products before they are gone, you won’t be disappointed!
