Makeup Geek has recently released 5 new shades to their pigment collection (so exciting!) and I jumped on the chance to be able to try them out. Marlena has really come out with some stunning and unique colours that are just breathtaking and absolutely perfect for Fall. If you are interested in seeing the rest of the pigments they offer you can check out my previous review of them here.
Makeup Geek pigments are known for their amazing quality, pigmentation, and blend-ability and nothing has changed with these new shades. They work well when used wet for a stunning foiled effect, or dry for a more subtle effect. They are really easy to use no matter how you use them and you are sure to get a gorgeous outcome no matter what. You don’t need a lot of product for them to go a long way on the lid so these pigments will last you forever. I am a huge fan of dark, rich shades in the colder months and Marlena really encaptured the feeling of Fall with her new releases.
Vegas Lights is a gorgeous copper pigment with chunky glitter. It has the same texture as Utopia, one of Makeup Geek’s previous pigments, and has stolen my heart. Copper eyeshadows look really great against blue eyes and I have gotten a ton of use out of this pigment already in the past few weeks.
Blitz is a warm copper colour and looks gorgeous all over the lid and blended into the crease for an effortless smokey eye. Using this pigment wet give a gorgeous metallic sheen to the lid and looks absolutely stunning.
Nightlife is a rose brown taupe shade, and is perfect for day-time wear. It’s pink undertones gives a very feminine feel to this pigment that you will be sure to love! It also has a bunch of multi-coloured glitters which shine like diamonds!
Kryptonite is a metallic moss green with tons of gold shimmer. This gold shimmer really catches the lights and gives this pigment a mesmerizing effect.
Bewitched is a soft amethyst purple, and would look great all over the lid with a darker plum in the outer-v and along the lashline. Purples are always a great colour to wear during the Fall and this is definitely a colour you should try out.

In the left photo I used Bewitched in the center of my lid to create a gorgeous, captivating effect. It really shines and looks great when used with a dark, smokey eye. The right photo features Vegas Lights, a copper glitter, which I placed that in the center of my lid. I think this look is perfect for Fall and reminds me of the fallen leaves.
It’s no surprise that I am absolutely smitten with these new shades, and they are just as fantastic as the ones before it. I hope Marlena never stops creating these pigments because they are just to die for. You can purchase these pigments on the Makeup Geek site for $6.99 each which is a steal for such great quality.
